About
The Southern Technical University was established in mid-August 2014 and is affiliated with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and its headquarters is in Basra Governorate.
At the beginning of its establishment, the university included the following colleges and institutes:
- Engineering Technical College - Basra
- Administrative Technical College - Basra
- College of Health and Medical Technologies - Basra
- Technical Institute - Basra
- Technical Institute - Nasiriyah
- Technical Institute - Shatra
- Technical Institute - Maysan
- Technical Institute - Qurna
